Nazis in Arizona: Real, and more influential than most realize
International, Opinion & Interviews View Comments
Comunicas.- What do neo-Nazis, Arizona politicians, and border patrolling have in common?
Answer: They are all involved in one giant love affair.
The Associated Press reports that J.T. Ready, a leader of the National Socialist Movement concerned with the “promotion of white separation” and “preservation of European culture and heritage” is now the organizer of armed Neo-Nazi militias patrolling the border. While vigilantes aren’t anything new, what with the minutemen and all, these Nazis on the border offer a whole new level of scary.
Dressed in army fatigues, the group utilizes an array of semi-automatic rifles and assorted weaponry to drive their point across. What is their point? According to J.T. Ready, if confronted with a group of people crossing the border, “We’ll kill them!”

Or to elaborate further, as Mr. Ready does on his favorite white supremacist forums, “The truth is that negroids screw monkeys and rape babies in afreaka [sic]. Then stupid white man who licks kosher jew rear lets negroids in. … Stop Negroid immigration and integration now!!! Nature will take care of the rest.”
Nice, and uh … eloquent. Surely anti-immigrant politicians in Arizona must be doing everything in their power to disassociate with this kind of rambling racist idiocy?
On the contrary.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio is in the habit of offering support and exchanging pleasantries. As one Neo-Nazi with a serious crush wrote, “About an hour before the reds and the Mexicans marched by us, our Sheriff came by to thank and say hello to his supporters. He stopped first by where the NSM members and JT Ready were standing. I, Vito Lombardi even got a full uniform shot with the Sheriff.” Witness said photograph here.
And you may have heard of SB 1070 author Senator Russell Pearce’s cozy relationship with J.T. Ready and all kinds of other racist crazies. Untangling that web leading straight back to the congressman is so massive, it would be worthy of a post all itself. Better to leave you with this video that features a snuggle fest between the pair:

Nazis in Arizona: Real, and more influential than most realize. The question is, when will we start acknowledging the serious racist roots driving political action in Arizona?
